Lyle Kendrick, Audio #2, Peter Casazza

Reflection: Today was a fun crash course in learning why the hosts and interviewees on NPR programs sound so damn crisp. Between my volume and my subject's volume not aligning and the "umms" that needed to be cleaned up, this was an effort that required me to do some playing around in Audition. There were a lot of strong online sources for operating the software. Watching this video was particularly helpful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OKi6e4YeaU. I had 4.5 minutes of content and between removing content that wasn't very pertinent and cleaning up some of the "ums," I was able to whittle it down to about a minute. My goal for next round is to find the right zone for using the digital recorder and work on my voice to try and get that Ira Glassy cadence.
