Ethan Barton, Audio #1, Gas Outing
Overall, I enjoyed doing this recording. As the driver, it was difficult to get the actual driving sounds, so I tried to focus my soundscape on noises people generally don't think about. Most of these were done while I was safely parked. My favorite parts were changing the radio, both hearing the short little clips of music and the clicks of the preset buttons, and the noises of the gas pumps (other than the beeping).
The most difficult parts were trying to record noises at an appropriate distance and trying to not bump the recorder while moving.
As an audiophile and having decent experience in Garage Band, the editing process came fairly naturally. However, there is definitely room for improvement, as editing music and editing sounds are pretty different.
